Skincare News
Well, hi, everyone! This is Tonia Ryan, your skincare expert and I am so excited! Cause we're going to go in another episode of hashtag skincare news. This one is super cool and interesting. I do it. You might do it too. We're talking about how you sleep and does it affect your face? Did we ever even think about this? I know I've thought about it a lot lately. I'm going to give you some more information about it coming up, but before we get started, if you could please make sure you like and subscribe to my channel this way we can always stay connected and I can make sure I give you a coupon codes to save on amazing skincare. Now this is from the PR newswire.com and a study shows that stomach and side sleeping positions cause facial distortion and wrinkles over time. Now I knew that this was something that happens.
And I also feel that it's something that has happened to me throughout the years. I have a sleep number bed, which is the greatest bed on earth. I think it is just the most comfortable thing I used to ache because I always sleep on my side. So like my hips would hurt. Sometimes my knees would, her shoulders used to hurt a lot because you know, I'm sleeping on my side. So I thought, well, let me try. When the sleep number beds, I've heard so much about it, it's supposed to be amazing. So I also had really bad allergies. So I decided to sleep elevated because I heard that that helps so much. And boy does it ever, not only does it help with allergies, it helps with puffiness under the eyes and everything. If I have to sleep completely laying down now, it's just like the worst thing ever.
I will do anything if I go on vacation and I don't have my sleep number bed to put as much, uh, pillows underneath me. So I'm still somewhat elevated because once you get used to it, it's really hard to stop doing it, especially since it's working for me. So I love sleeping elevated. Okay. So let's go back to the way we sleep. So what made me start thinking about this as if it was doing anything different to my face or not is because I'm sleeping elevated. So then with my pillows, I noticed you're kind of like in a slide position, I'm not sliding off in it, right? So I'm thinking with my pillow, if I'm laying on my side, I feel like maybe it could be pulling my skin up a little bit because I've noticed maybe, and it could just be aging too, but you notice, I noticed a little bit in the past couple of years, this isn't this tight and whatnot, but when we're talking about comfort and making sure that you feel good when you wake up, what's more important, looking good feeling good.
What do you think? Well, to me, it's actually both. So what I started doing is I still sleep elevated. But before, when I was using my retinols and vitamin C serums, lot of times I would put them on my neck and decolletage, but then I wasn't maybe putting them on here as much. Now I focus and do a lot more massage right there. And I noticed that that is making a difference. I think, I don't think that, I think it's starting to look a lot firmer. So how do you sleep? Because another thing that came to mind was if you're getting facial fillers and a lot of people now aren't just lips. We're getting like a whole facial fill, meaning jawlines cheeks, even nose so that you don't have to get a rhinoplasty. They're getting things done in our nose, lips and Botox. So I don't get any facial fillers at all or Botox.
I've never had Botox in my life, but to me, if I, if I did get it, then the way I sleep and sleeping on my face, is it going to move? Because I've heard of people talking about their fillers, moving and migrating and coming down that could have nothing to do with who your plastic surgeon or whoever did your injections it could have to do with perhaps the way you're sleeping or is your pillow super hard? Because I sleep with almost a rock, hard pillow. And I love that because it helps keep my neck in the same position and then it's not hurting because there for awhile, my neck was aching and things were aching. So I figured out exactly how to position myself and in my bed so that I feel great. But then, you know, there could be certain things perhaps with a harder pillow, it's flattening your cheeks out more when you're sleeping.
So there's a lot of different things you have to think about if you are getting fillers and gosh, we have to think about so many different things to make sure that we still can look as beautiful as can be. Even now, before we go to sleep and during our sleep it's things we even need to think about. So then when we talk about wrinkles, they're actually saying in this article that sleep wrinkles, SCORM, and the response to distortion created when the face is pressed against any sleep surface, AKA probably my hard pill. They tend to worsen over time due to repetition, combined with any of the skin and decreased elasticity as we age set a certain physician. So yes, so these are all the things that we need to think about. Um, what's super important is to make sure that at night that you are using the best medical grade skincare, so that you're getting the best nutrients into your skin, make sure you're using a good moisturizer, especially in moisturizer with peptides.
So that throughout the night, anything that is happening, you're still doing everything you can to prevent wrinkles. Cause I can't imagine if you just washed your face with Barstow, took your shower and got into bed and didn't put any moisturizer on or retinols or anything, your wrinkles are definitely going to get deeper. And when you're sleeping, they're definitely going to your worse. So I'd love to know how do you sleep? Do you have a certain sleep routine? What do you do that helps you minimize your wrinkles when you're sleeping? Do you even think about it? Do you even want to think about it? Is it too much to think about and you just want to go to sleep and to never, never land and have beautiful dreams? Well, that's a great idea. I would do that as well, but if you want beautiful skin, I'm going to give you a coupon code. You can use coupon code YouTube at checkout. You can go to inanceskin.com and I can help you choose the best medical grade skincare products for your skin to help keep you looking beautiful, even when you sleep. So I want to say thank
