So today we're going to be talking about this new peel that came out from Dr. Dennis Gross. It's an alpha beta universal daily peel. It's two steps. I'm so excited about it because it's their salicylic acid in the first step, there's retinol in the second step, and those are two of some of my favorite anti-aging ingredients. In this peel, as there's two steps, it's really a cute container, I thought this was kind of cool. You know me, since I'm the creator of Inance Skincare and I deal with packaging and creating my own skincare line as well, I love seeing other creators' packaging and what they're doing, and this is super cute.
So this is two steps that you would do each day. Now they say on their website that you can do these in the morning or at night. I say do them at night, I'm going to tell you why. The reason I think you should do these at night is the first step, this is the daily peel and they're pads. Now this has salicylic acid, so the skin types for this are combination and they say normal, but I say no or minimal skin type, because who's actually normal skin? What does normal skin even mean?
But the first step has salicylic acid and all of these other acids, they say it's an alpha beta universal daily peel, so it's a combination of alpha beta acid. So I would use this at night because it has the salicylic acids, but then the step two has retinol in it. Now some people have an issue if they've used salicylic acid and retinol in the same day, and I've talked about on my other channels and other places as well, sometimes you shouldn't do that.
But they're not saying the exact percentage of retinol in this so I assume that it's a trace amount. Since this isn't a 1% retinol or retinol that's super high strength, it might be okay to use, but they do say on their website that you should use them every other day to see how well your skin gets acclimated to the products and I think that's a great idea because sometimes salicylic acid and retinol doesn't work, but sometimes it can work amazing if it's not super high concentrations.
So it's supposed to be a fast acting two step treatment. So it's supposed to improve uneven skin tone, texture, and it's also supposed to lift dead skin along with excess oil and impurities. So if you have dead, dull, dry skin that you feel like you need to get off and you just don't think you look as fresh, this could be something that's great. If you have acne, it's supposed to work well with acne as well because salicylic acid does work great with that. If you have super dry skin, you have to be careful with salicylic acid. Maybe with the pads, you just want to put them on where you would get acne or certain places that seem rough. We have the Inance brand as well that is our Peel It pads, which are amazing, and those are salicylic acid as well, but those are a higher percentage and concentration than these.
So according to their website, it's supposed to give you clinical results at home. I haven't tried it yet, I'm going to try it. I'm going to let you know what I think about it.
