Johnson & Johnson Recall Neutrogena & Aveeno Sunscreens #skincare
Well, hi everyone, all my skincare besties. It's your favorite skincare expert and entrepreneur, Tonia Ryan. And today I'm doing a new episode of hashtag skincare news, and we're going to be talking about Johnson and Johnson, recalling Neutrogena and unbeknown sunscreen products. Super important need, you need to know about it. I'm gonna tell you all about it coming up, please remember to like, and subscribe to my channel if you may. So this way we can always stay connected and I can make sure I give you the best coupon codes when it comes to skincare. Now, this has been going on for a while. It's been happening in the past few months. Some of the largest companies in the world are recalling their products because there's a carcinogen in them called benzene. Now, this is the newest one. I just read about Johnson and Johnson recalled five different Neutrogena and a Vino sunscreen products for containing traces of benzene.

These are aerosol sunscreens as well. I'm, I'm, I'm floored by this all the time, because I own my own skincare company. I've been in this business for over 25 years. I had an amazing manufacturer in the United States and we always check for benzene in our skincare products. And when I say always, we are in an FDA regulated facility and there are certain protocols you have to follow. So whenever they're supposed to be, so that means you don't cut corners. If you're supposed to do something, you do it. So these are things that we do where we do our own checks to see. And we actually did our own checks to see if there was any benzene in any of our sunscreens. And it was under the FDA regulated amount and close traces to nothing in some of them. So that's super important to me. And I don't know why these big suns, these big companies.

I think it's because a lot of the products, the quality control, isn't good. I don't know for sure where Johnson and Johnson manufactures these products. I might have to guess it's out of the country. I could be wrong if it is in the United States, why is there not more quality control being done? Because a lot of these products were being used on all of us and adults plus children. So we need to know what's in our products and why this is happening. So this article I'm reading and getting the information from us, the Washington post.com. And this is a statement, I guess, that came from Johnson and Johnson. They said, well, benzene is not an ingredient in any of our sunscreen products. It was detected in some samples of the impacted aerosol sunscreen finished products. And they did not disclose the levels of benzene when they did their own testing, but they said daily exposure to benzene. And these aerosol sunscreen products at the levels detected in our testing would not be expected to cause of adverse health consequences. So that was their statement. Um, and hopefully that is true. Perhaps it's coming from the packaging, perhaps the metals in the packaging. Although I don't think benzene is derived from metals, but nevertheless,

The larger the company it is, I feel like sometimes the quality control is harder to maintain. These are all just my opinions. Um, you know, what is your opinion on it? Have you heard, heard about these stories, please let me know in the comments below, because I'm really interested in what you think about these things that are happening as well. The good news is they found out about it and pulled the products, but here's another thing. Did you know that Johnson and Johnson owned Neutrogena and Aveeno because I know so much that has to do with skincare and all the different manufacturers, because there's so many big, large corporations that own smaller ones. I remember hearing this, but I didn't remember until I read the article. Oh, that's right. Johnson and Johnson owns Aveeno. Not that that's a bad thing. It's just, it's so much manufacturing when it's not smaller batches.

Maybe sometimes things are getting out there, obviously that shouldn't be out there, but at least they did recall it and they're pulling it off the shelf. So if you had any in your closets, I would try to return them to the store or call Johnson and Johnson and see how you can get a refund. And if you're interested in safe sunscreens, I like to use only mineral or mineral. And if you're interested in safe sunscreens, I am a super advocate of zinc and titanium dioxide because they are natural minerals and they help us with our, you know, with being the best sun protection. They're safe for our coral reefs. And you can go to Inanceskin.com. If you'd like to see what some of our sunscreens and see what we have. I have tinted mineral, no white casts, but we've tested all of ours. And they're all within the FDA regulation. As far as benzene is concerned and you want to save money, you can use coupon code YouTube at checkout. And again, you just go to enhance skin. And if you have any questions, go ahead and let me know when the message is below, or you can go on the chat box and I can help you choose it there. So thank you so much for watching.
