Obagi Nu Derm Retinol and Obagi Blender or Blend FX

So we're going to start out today by talking about the Obagi Nu-Derm Blend Fx. I'm sure all of you know, this is one of the most important products in the Obagi Nu-Derm system. It's step number five. Now this Blend FX is not the regular blender. That is the 4% hydroquinone. That's a prescription product. This is an over the counter product. You do not need that rx product anymore. That product is obsolete. That is back in the day. Everyone was using the 4% hydroquinone. You do not need that product anymore, unless you have an intense amount of melasma and hyperpigmentation and you should consult a Dr if so.

If it's completely covering your entire face and it's so bad, then yes, you should go to your doctor to try to get that product. If you just have some hyperpigmentation, a little bit of photo aging and dark spots, then Obagi Blend FX is for you. It has 7% arbutin, which works just as good if you're using a retinol with it in conjunction, I'm going to show you how to do that. And, or you can use our Inance 2% hydroquinone, which is over the counter.

If you're using all three of these products together, you definitely don't need the RX product at all. And why should you use it if you don't need it? You don't need something so intense because again, if it's something prescription, that means maybe it's doing more to your body than what you actually need.

So let's talk about what the Blend FX does. Again, like I said, it has a 7% arbutin, which is amazing. That's a wonderful ingredient that will help remove dark spots and wrinkles, and helps improve the skin's elasticity by building new, healthy, collagen. This is a very gentle formula and will not cause any irritation to your skin, which is great, which is the complete opposite of what can happen with the Obagi Rx blender.

With regular daily use, your skin to look so much brighter and it will gradually improve the discolorations and blotches on your skin. What the arbutin does is it slows down an enzyme that helps produce dark spots. So what's great about that it's going to help slow any future dark spots that could be coming your way, which none of us want, but it's also going to help decrease the look of the dark spots. So again, when this cream is mixed with retinol, it helps boost the reparative process of dead skin cells. So again, it has a 7% arbutin.

So let's talk about how you use these two in conjunction together. After you've decided which retinol that you need, all you do is you take a pea size amount of the Blend Fx and you take even a smaller amount than a piece size of the retinol and you mix the two of them together. You do this at night because you always want to use your retinols at night when you're sleeping and your skin's getting restored, rejuvenated. The Blend Fx works perfect with that at night. You put it on your face and then you're good to go for the next morning when you start your new skincare regimen.
