Hi, everyone, it's Tonia Ryan with Inance Skincare, and today we're going to be talking about do you need a facial oil? Facial oils are something new, they've just been coming out in the past couple years, and not necessarily new. Do you need a facial oil? That's the big question of the day. I'm going to give you all the answers coming up. But, before we get started, please make sure you like and subscribe to my channel so we can always stay connected and I can make sure I give you all the info on the new products coming out, promo codes, and coupon codes.
So today we're talking about, do you need a facial oil? Oils have been around for thousands of years: sweet almond oil, orange oil, on and on and on. But, a lot of medical-grade skincare companies are incorporating facial oils into their skincare lines. Now, the big question is, and I get this from my clients all the time, "Tonia, do I need a facial oil?" Well, that's a great question, and it totally depends upon your skin type, and also if you enjoy the feeling of an oil on your face.
So, Obagi Medical came out with a new facial oil. It's the Obagi Daily Hydro Drops. Now, their technology they have with this is they have Vitamin B3, they also have hibiscus oil, and they're doing this combination to help really moisturize and rejuvenate your skin. So from what I read, Obagi did a lot of research about bringing in an oil, because a lot of companies have facial oils and it's something that they were interested in and I think that their customers were asking for.
So I'm going to give you some of the information that they had. They said, "After three weeks of use, 78% of the users said they felt healthier and hydrated skin all day." So their skin felt healthier, it felt more hydrated, which is great. It's hypoallergenic, and dermatologist and ophthalmologist-tested. And I really liked hearing the ophthalmologist part, because if you get an oil in your eyes, we know that that is not something, we certainly don't want any oils in our eyes. I'm sure you've done that before if you've ever used an eye makeup remover that had a lot of oils. Literally, there's a film over your eyes and you can't see for a little bit.
So the other information I was giving is that the oil is an antioxidant, which is great. It has Omega-9 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which helps support the skin's natural barrier. It's diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time. And it's supposed to help give your skin more of a luster. It is a little bit oily, of course, because it is an oil, and it's not something I use every day, but I really like to use it when I'm getting too dry, I feel like, and if I'm not going to wear makeup for the day. Or, if I'm going to the beach, I love to put that on first, and then I put my SPF on afterwards, and I love to put it on the back of my hands because I literally am washing my hands, I guess, I feel like sometimes it's 50 times a day, I'm washing my hands so often.
So I loved it. I put my lotion on and then put that on the back of my hand so it can help reduce the aging in my hands. Another time it's really great, it doesn't just have to be if you're going to the beach. Let's say you're going skiing, or snowboarding, or biking, or any sort of outdoor activities. This is nice to have on because with the sun and the wind, sometimes your skin can feel dryer, so a moisturizer is nice. But this is great to put on first, and then a bunch of SPF. So you feel like you're super hydrated, and if you're already out and you're a little active, it doesn't feel like you're too sweaty or anything like that. You just have a glow and you know you're getting hydrated. Plus, you're getting the antioxidants, which will help with any more free radical damage that you're doing to yourself when you're outside and with your skin.
